This state-owned forest - managed by the National Forestry Office - covers over 1,000 hectares and includes numerous species of hardwoods (oak, beech, ash) as well as conifers (black and Scots pine, spruce, etc.). This forest was marked by the conflict of the Great War. We thus pass on the Chemin des Dames, we come across ponds and the arboretum of the old village of Craonne. It is also a haven of peace for hikers, as it is crisscrossed by multiple marked trails, where you will notably come across a copper oak planted under Louis XIV.
